SMQ denies rumours about leaving PTI

Next few months crucial for country: Qureshi

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday negated the impression that he was joining other political party.

Speaking at a function held here to welcome the members of United Arain Foundation who have joined PTI, Qureshi said that next few months were crucial for the country in terms of politics.

He said that Prime Minister Gilani should write a letter to Swiss authorities in the interest of the country.

He was of the view that there was no other example of the drama which Gilani was playing to save President Zardari.

He was optimistic that PTI would win the next general elections solely on the support of oppressed masses.

Senior Vice-President PTI Hamid Khan and others also attended the function.

Chaudhry Tahir Arain led the delegation of newly joined PTI members.

SIALKOT: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he had not joined the PTI to quit it, while there was no question of joining the PML-N.

He was addressing a press conference at Alam Chowk on Thursday. He said that such baseless rumours were just propaganda of the rulers against the party. “The people of Sialkot are politically aware and they will elect PTI candidates in the coming elections. The masses have fed up with the present set up and want a thorough change,” he said.

He asked the people to attend Imran Khan’s public meeting at Jinnah Stadium on March 23. He said that PTI was a political organisation and there were no differences in it. He said that a majority of people wanted to give a chance to the PTI for the resolution of their problems.

He said the PPP and the PML-N had cheated the people twice and economic, political and law and order situation had deteriorated further during their regimes. He said that the government had badly failed in resolving the problems of Balochistan and no sincere efforts had ever been made in this regard. To a question, he said that it was not a crime to wish for a party ticket in the coming elections.

“The Parliamentary Board will award party tickets purely on merit,” he added. Earlier, Shah Mehmood addressed a workers’ convention at Anwar Club. Later, he visited Jinnah Stadium, the venue of the public meeting on March 23. Renowned singer Ibrarul Haq, Waleed Iqbal, PTI district president Umar Farooq, Shah Nawaz Cheema and others were also present.

  • @asif bai,

PMLN , who cat walked in front of SMQ to lure him into their Pakistan muslim Lota league, miserably failed and became a laughing stock instead.

PMlota leauge kay lia ghalib ka ik Misra yaad aya.. "Dil kay khush rakne ko Ghalib ye khyal acha hay"

  • yeh thread lagta ha pti walon ne apnay dil ki tasali ke liya khola ha; aj kal sadmay main hain; so meri taraf se bhi mubarak ho shah mehmood ghaznawi pti main hi rahay ga; choti choti khushian hain meray burger inqelabion ki; aj phir ho jai burger is khushi main

  • frustration of nooners is quite evident now.they r leaving no stone unturned to spread baseless rumours.

  • Lol!!!! On the contrary my little delusional Ilzami kiddies, it was SMQ himself who strutted his stuff in front of the leadership of PML (N) and they found nothing impressive except for his camaraderie with Hillary Clinton and his Pir/Muridi following in Multan. There was nothing on his resume which would have made SMQ a valuable asset to PML (N), hence he did not have any choice but to take up the second choice which was obviously Pakistan Turncoat Itehad.
