Govt Planning Drama with SC

  • Islamabad: The government has decided to create a drama on the occasion of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’a appearance in the Supreme Court of Pakistan that would announced its verdict in contempt of court case against the premier for not implementing its orders to write letter to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.

Sources said that it had been decided by the government that the Mr Gilani would walk instead of travelling in a vehicle along with cabinet members to the country’s top court where he might loss his premiership

The government has all the governors and chief ministers of all the federating units to reach Islamabad and accompany the prime to the court.

  • I think SC should hold the PM without punishment. Leave punishment upto people.

About letter, they can ask AG to write a letter same as AG Qayum wrote.

  • EasyGo that would be interesting. Let the people decide, by people i don't mean the shameful ministers that represent them. The people will no doubt want a very strict punishment much more then SC will probably give.

  • i hope k decision na he ho Gillani k agianst . otherwise PPP ko kahen hamdardi ya shahadat ka vote na mil jaye . ALLAH garrat kare in gerrals jinhon ne hamare liye PPP ki sorat mein eik azaab choor diya hai .

  • If there are even 20% Pakistanis who are in support of "People Power" versus "Rule of Law / Justice", then there is "Very Little Hope" for Pakistan.

  • @Zoab Khan

    Right bro,,,

    let's hope people start

  • All cabinet members will be attending the court hearing.

Members from Sindh have also started to arrive in Islamabad.

How much is this costing the 5% of the people who pay tax's in Pakistan?

  • Just like there is a cost of Quality and there is a cost of lack of Quality, there is a cost of Justice/Rule of Law and there is a cost of absence of Justice/Rule of Law.

Cost of Quality is obvious, less and is paid just upfron, while cost of lack of Quality is hidden, high and is paid for the life of product.

Similarly Cost of Justice/Rule of Law is obvious, less and is paid just upfront, while cost of lack of Justice/Rule of Law is hidden, high and is paid by generations.

  • Pakistan has been paying this price for 30 years now. Since 1980's its been a nose dive for the country.

If things are to improve the decision tomorrow should send a message to the corrupt elite.

  • 9 People were killed and almost a dozen public transport vehicles(buses-trucks etc) were burnt when PPP protested and striked in Sindh against Supreme Court's decision in which SC had ordered the removal of Syed Deedar Hussain Shah from NAB Chairman's post.
