Ill Treatment With Minorities In India

Letter of President Council of Khalistan to President Obama

    August 10, 2012

    The Honorable Barack Obama

    President of the United States

    The White House

    Washington DC 20500

    Dear Mr. President:

On behalf of the 28 million strong Sikh Nation and over 700,000 Sikhs in the United States , I would like to thank you for your recent statement of support in the wake of the murder of six Sikhs in Milwaukee . In the wake of this tragedy, the Sikh Nation has been comforted by the support we have received from leaders and ordinary people around the country and the world.

Thank you for stressing “how much our country has been enriched by Sikhs.” Sikhs have contributed to this country in all walks of life.

We appreciate your recognition of these contributions, especially at a sad time such as this.

Dr Gurmit Singh Aulakh, President Council of Khalistan

We are offended by the Indian government’s criticism of your Administration, blaming you for the massacre. It is not the policy of this country that gave rise to it; this terrible act is the act of one disturbed individual. We look forward to the day when events like this massacre in Milwaukee , the burning of a mosque in Missouri , and the movie theatre murders in Colorado will no longer happen. Your statement helps bring that day closer.

We are also disturbed by the burning of the American flag outside the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi . This act should offend all Americans.

This act creates a very bad impression of the Sikhs. Either the persons who did that are very stupid or they are agents of the Indian government, which haskilled Sikhs and other minorities by the tens of thousands.

Former Member of Parliament Simranjit Singh Mann reports that more than a million Sikhs have been murdered by the Indian regime since 1982. The Indian government has murdered more than 300,000 Christians since 1948, almost 100,000 Muslims in Kashmir since 1988, 2,000 to 5,000 Muslims in Gujarat , and tens of thousands of Assamese, Bodos, Manipuris, Tamils, Dalits, and others. The Indian Supreme Court called the Indian government’s murders of Sikhs “worse than genocide.” We continue to work to liberate our homeland, Khalistan. Freedom will help us prevent this ongoing violence and repression of our people. Please support freedom for the Sikh Nation.

In the wake of these terrible events, we grieve together and pray for each other. Thank you again for the statement that you made. It will be helpful in the healing process.

  • Well Indians shall also not be proud of what they are doing to their minorities (religious or others).

  • There are about 100 separatists' movements in India.

  • O hoo..hf bhai,

Abhi india lovers aajaein g ay....aap ne onn ko baray zor kee mirchein laga dein..

  • I was expecting the India lovers to negate the letter of Sardarjee. The facts contained in Sardarjee's letter are too evident to be denied by India lovers. As Jinnah Saheb said,"scratch a so called secular of Congress and find a Mahasabai (fanatic Hindu)".

  • Lol when will we grow out of this defeatist mentality. I would totally be for raising India's domestic issues if our objective was anything other than 'making them look bad to make ourselves look good in our own eyes'

Reminds me of a story of a 'marassi' of a 'Pind' who would pray for the demise of all in 'chaudhary's lineage' so he becomes the Chaudhary, until the day his mother busts his bubble by revealing he being a marassi wouldn't become the chaudhary even if the whole 'Pind'' passed away.....

Your story is interesting. Something similar we have been doing during more than three decades. We have been supporting the Western powers, but we could never become developed like West.
