Etiquette of discussion from Quran

  • 25:63 Allah (SWT) tells us some etiquette of discussion

The servants of the Rahman (the All-Merciful, Allah) are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the ignorant people speak to them, they reply peacefully

What does this mean to us? Do some of our discussions get into the realm of where we should depart by saying "peace".

Looking forward to seeing some input.

  • Very VERY interesting but i have a small question on this...

Is it the tone or the content of an argument/statement that determines whether it is peaceful?

  • Bajwa Sahib, not sure if I understand your question. If you are asking whether it is content or tone that should encourage us to disengage from an argument and say "peace", I would guess it could be either / or. I would also think that we should give each other benefit of the doubt. My 2 cents, would love to hear others input.
