Taliban Popular Where US Fought Biggest Battle
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: December 11, 2012
MARJAH, Afghanistan (AP) — Nearly three years after U.S.-led forces launched the biggest operation of the war to
clear insurgents, foster economic growth and set a model for the rest of Afghanistan, angry residents of Helmand province say they are too afraid to go out after dark because of marauding bands of thieves.
And during the day, they say corrupt police and government officials bully them into paying bribes. After 11 years of war, many here long for a return of the Taliban. They say that under the Taliban, who routinely punished thieves by cutting off a hand, they were at least safe from crime and corruption....... Read the details in link

Great day and event for promoting girl’s education worldwide as well as ending negative stigma attached with girl’s education in mostly Muslim majority societies. Bravery of Malala is paying off as she is being internationally recognized and may also win Nobel Prize for her courage and advocacy for girl’s education in a town which was under heavy influence and ghundagadi of anti-education talibans.
Malala has defeated anti-education taliban animals and their dirty efforts to take Pakistan in Stone Age.
Like millions worldwide, Malala is also my daughter's favourite personality and she has framed a large size picture of Malala which is now proudly sitting on her bed’s side table.

It is a shame that more than 70% of girls don't have an opportunity to go to school in Pakistan.

It is indeed a shame that 70% Pakistani girls are deprived (on purpose) of their basic right to get education by the very same ruling political and molvi mafia who send their kids to American and British colleges and universities. And this same political mafia and their incompetent kids consider that they have a birth right to rule Pakistan.
One does not have to be a rocket scientist to understand why majority of Pakistanis remain uneducated? Now this brave girl is trying to promote girl's education in Pakistan, all conservative and narrow-minded forces (on this forum as well) of Jahalat have formed an alliance against her noble efforts.
World observing Malala day is a big success for millions of girls who are deprived of education by rulers of Pakistan.
I propose her for Nobel prize.

Malala drama was effective but not as effective as it was expected. The drama was not a total failure. A lot of people beleived in the drama. Let us see what negative advantage is taken out of this semi-successful drama?
