  • @samrash

    are you from karachi ?

There are is a shia educator and a worker of MQM also died

who you gona blame for ...?

    http://jang.com.pk/jang/jan2013-daily/10-01-2013/main.htm

  • RIP baba ji, my condolences to the family of the deceased.

    Expak,

Wrong analogy, when someone gets killed, first suspicion is always his/hers staunchest enemy. Shia scholar was probably killed by SSP as a revenge for the recent killing of their leader. Similarly, MQM is the main suspect in this killing due to its political animosity with JI.

Lets not try to turn every thread into a racist brawl, barkati was probably a Urdu speaking mohajir.

  • Why is it hard for MQM sympathizers to accept the fact that alot of people from Karachi can have opinions against them? I am an Urdu speaker, parents from lucknow, lived 95% of my life in Karachi! All lives are significant but Karachi has lost yet another great man. Hakeem Barkaati was a presidential award winner, writer of 40 books, close friend of Hakeem Saeed, brother of the editor of monthly naunehaal. His son was actively involved with the correction of voter's lists...it's quite obvious who didnt like him.

  • .. why MQM will kill JI worker or leader at this time? Specially some one who been living in Karachi Central for years and was harmless to MQM...we all know Karachi Central is still MQMs strong hold and such news would harm their reputation ....?

there is another murder in orangi town, worker of MQM...Is MQM blaming JI or ANP? or no one give a sh___t about this poor guy?

My post didnt mean to defend MQM or any one, Just wondering why every murder falls under MQM.... Before pointing fingers why not do some investiagtion

    Ref:

    Death and investigation

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hakim_Said#Death_and_investigation

On 22 July 2010, the then chief of the Intelligence Bureau, Col (rtd) Iqbal Khan Niazi, publicly stated that the MQM had been falsely accused by the then government of PML-N and Sindh IG Police Rana Maqbool in order to start the state operation to evict the building political fame.[clarification needed] He also said that the Joint Investigation Team set up by Intelligence Bureau also found that the accused had not been wrongly acquitted. He confirmed that this same allegation became the prime reason for operation against MQM.[8]

  • @ Samrash

  • May be "Punjabi Raj" is playing politics in Karachi, bad situation in karachi will get them vote in Punjab

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3H37bp18OFs

  • @samrash

    .

    .

it's quite obvious who didnt like him..

    .

    .

MQM is political rival of JI, they both dislike each other. If MQM dislikeness is the reason for blaming MQM for murder then no doubt MQM has more shaheeds to blame JI with same criteria.

    .

    .

I recognized Mr. Barkati was a great personality and well educated

may ALLAH keep his soul in peace

  • Barakati family is living in karachi for many years.... even in worst period of JI MQM tension .... no one bothered them....

Dont take me wrong..... its sad situation where we dont know why and who is killing people in karachi......

  • Samrash, don't be upset as MQM has never killed any of his opponents. Even all the Haqiqi leaders / workers so far killed are the result of some unknown killers. Even Wali Baber was killed by some unknown killer. All people killed on 12th May belong to MQM. If any MQM worker is killed then it should definitely be blamed to all anti MQM parties. But if any anti MQM leader or worker is killed then there is absolutely no chance of any involvement of MQM in it as MQM is the most peaceful party in Pakistan. Even as a reaction on the death of their MPA Raza Haider a few years ago, the deaths of 100's of innocent people should be blamed on all anti MQM parties.

  • Duh!! well an extremely obvious motive: It was Jamaat e Islami's efforts which led to the Supreme court's decision on fake voter's lists. MQM was rightly pissed off on this cuz it badly exposed their BAD DYANTI. MQM stands no chance with fair, free, un pre- poll rigged elections so for them Jamaat needs to be stopped before incurring more damage.

Intimidation through threats and even murder is a an MQM tactic familiar to many Karachiites.

  • @samrash

"MQM stands no chance with fair, free, un pre- poll rigged elections"

Well in 1992s MQM didnt participate NA election,,,, how many seats JI won ?? even prof ghafor and Munwar Hussain / Nimat ullah khan sahib lost against relatively unknow guys.... what was turned out??

Could be its PML N, since Thair ul Qadri and MQM making alliance kind of stuff.... and just to gain political gain PML N is doning such stuff....

they have done same in 92....

  • I would still go for the very obvious motive. PML N murdering in karachi to gain something in Punjab??? that's pretty far fetched brother! And yeah, I never said that Mqm's loss would be JI's gain...and also, I believe that Mqm would not be wiped out in a free election but it would definitely make considerably lesser gains.

  • @samrash

last time MNA fron MQM got 1 lakh + vote, this time they will get 60 thousands.... JI kahan se etney vote laey gi? even with alliance with all other parties in centeral JI cant even make it to half of MQMs vote... agree with me? And beside JI there is no other party to challenge MQM in karachi as of now....

PML N murdering in karachi to gain vote in Punjab.... that politics, they gona play clips and pics "Qadri Altaf bhai bhai" until Qadri fevor is over...

  • I would suggest you to change the title of this thread as

    Lets talk about dirty MQM

    .

    .

    .

    @samrash

I accept there are many karachiest affiliate with JI, in fact, JI is 2nd biggest in Karachi in terms of voters/mandate but unable to aggregate in a single seat.

    .

    .

And don’t forget it and IJT along with Jeyey Sind, who started violent politics in Karachi. MQM was not born that time.

    .

    .

Not only JI, all 20+ parties who does not have mandate in Karachi went supreme court for some miracle. I can assure you even after delimitation and voters verification the result would be same, what was JI in 77 still same in terms of voters, see the apprx JI proprogress in one of central karachi NA seat where jamat gets maximum votes:

    1985 : Less than 17,000

    1988 : Less than 19,000

    1990 : Less than 20,000

    1993 : Less than 21,000

    1997 : Less than 22,000

    2002 : with MMA Less than 39,000

    .

    .

I would suggest you let this thread for condolence of the dead person.

    .

    .

    @wasimibr

I always avoid opposing or supporting anyone but sometime being silent means endorsement.

    .

    .

Don’t be spectator here and don’t pass any comment based on bias columnist’s analysis, you know nothing about 12th may except what your leaders vomit out about Karachi, If is there any new one from sindh who joins PMLN in [Who is joining pmln in upcoming days?] thread, then post it I will give you fair update from the best of knowledge.

  • Let me repeat the comments I already made above. Mqm's loss would not be all JI's gain...and Mqm would not be wiped out in a free election but it would make considerably lesser gains. pti, anp, haqiqi, ji, ppp, pml n...all have support in Karachi. Only an honestly made voter's list and correct limitation of constituencies can prove the presence of their support. I was in Karachi during the last election, I saw with my own eyes the tactics used to get 1 lakh + votes.... And I still staunchly believe that Mujahid Barkati's active participation in getting voter lists clear of fake enteries led to Hakeem Barkati's unfortunate murder.

  • @BitterTruth

you know nothing about 12th may except what your leaders vomit out about Karachi

So please tell me the reality which your leader I mean MQM vomit out about 12th May. Leave aside what my or your leaders vomit about 12th May, I tell you what our independent media was vomiting about Karachi on 12th May. On that day in the morning AWAM arranged a large rally to show their power. The respected home minister sealed all roads leading to and from airport with containers. In afternoon CJ arrived at airport but after a no of hours sitting in lounge he was not able to come out as AWAM was showing their show of power by killing innocent people on roads of Karachi. Talat Hussain and his AAJ TV staff were screaming live for help on their channel as AWAM was firing on their office. In the evening the godfather of MQM dictator Musharraf raised his both arms in air and announced with jubilation that today in Karachi AWAM has shown their power. As you are well aware of 12th May therefore you must know who that AWAM is.

No doubt that the 12th May is mourning day, I personaly condemn to all who are responsible for that.

But are your sure? what you watch on your TV set and how it was presenting on media, it was by a single party.

Do you realy know the demography and geography of Karachi?
