The Match has finished, the dust settled. Now instead of commenting on how was the pitch, who won the toss, we should comment on the final scorecard. Let’s see demands of Dr.TuQ and what was agreed upon in Declaration.
Demand No. 1. Elections should be held in accordance with Article 62, 63 and 218 of Constitution of Pakistan, and within 90 days from now.
Decision No. 4. Electoral Reforms: It was agreed upon that the focus will be on the enforcement of electoral reforms prior to the polls on:
A. Article 62, 63 and 218 (3) of the constitution
B. Section 77 to 82 of the Representation of Peoples’ Act 1976.
C. The Supreme Court Judgement of June 8, 2012.
Demand No. 2. Election Commission of Pakistan should be dissolved and reconstituted again.
Decision No. 3. Issue of composition of the Election Commission of Pakistan will be discussed at the next meeting on Sunday, January 27, 2013, 12 noon at the Minhaj‐ul‐Quran Secretariat.
Demand No. 3. Caretaker Setup should be made by consent and agreement of all parties.
Decision No. 2. The treasury benches in complete consensus with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will propose names of two honest and impartial persons for appointment as Caretaker Prime Minister.
Demand No. 4. Federal and Provincial assemblies should be dissolved by the Govt.
Decision No. 1. The National Assembly shall be dissolved at any time before March 16, 2013, (due date), so that the elections may take place within the 90 days.
Demand No. 1 and 2 were completely accepted.
Demand No. 3 and 4 were partially accepted.
And most important of all, there was no bloodshed and both Dr.TuQ and Govt. showed political wisdom to settle on some middle ground.
Most importantly, the decision agreed upon, if implemented, would mean ouster of several corrupt politicians from electoral process, which is probably the first step to change.

Very good of you to be so optimistic. I pray that your optimism turns up to be a sweet truth. What are the chances of the big changes which respectable Dr. Qadri promised? I pray that Dr. Qadri's do not prove to be fake promises like those of Iftikhar Chaudhary.

Decision No. 4 in itself is the revolution but looser nooners, whose coward nawaza was trembling in his Raiwand bunker even among hundred tonga parties that he gathered around him for help, will keep spitting on the moon.
The important thing is to maintain pressure to get the agreement implemented, however in that case the whole N Legue will be out of election under 62, 63 etc so nooners will keep opposing it in support of corruption of their leaders.

@Hussain Farooqui: Dr.Qadri has the agreement in written and signed. Something is better than nothing. Whatever the intentions of Dr. Qadri, if implemented, this declaration would mean so much for changing the fortune of Pakistan.
@yahya: agreed. PML-N is still not out of the shock and still trying to malign Dr.Qadri instead of seriously commenting on the decision made in the declaration and state how many of its MNAs and MPAs would be out even before contesting.
