Just Gaining Sympathy On Kagil Issue Can’t Hide Other Failures Of Nawaz

  • Nawaz Shariff’s government was dismissed by an army coup as a result of growing resentment between the army and Nawaz Shariff over the issue of Kargil. The war of Kargil was not fought by the Pakistan Army only. All the militant organizations and JI militant wing also joined the war. Zee TV reported utter frustration by the failures of the Indian army. There might have been some blunders and mistakes by Gen. Musharaff as the army chief, but the frustration of the Indian media was undeniable.

Besides the Kargil war, the fact is undeniable that the 2nd. regime of Nawaz Shariff had many other disorders and failures which were not related to Kargil war or the Pakistan military. The people of Pakistan can’t wash out the disorders and failures committed by Nawaz’s government in some of the following cases:

Qaraz Utaro Mulk Sanwaroo Scheme- The funds collected from the public were misused or usurped.

Foreign Currency Accounts- Foreign currency accounts were dissolved and the account holders were compelled to take out the money with wide loss of the margin between the govt. rates and the market rates of the US dollars. The people had to lose billions of rupees in this scam. The cohorts of Nawaz Shariff were paid back their amounts in back dates. This scam was too evident. Shaheed Hakeem Saeed also protested over this scam.

Hakeem Saeed’s Murder-Shaheed Hakeem Saeed’s murder was a deep rooted conspiracy hatched by Nawaz’s government. The responsibility was simply put on the shoulders of MQM. MQM is no doubt engaged in nos. of criminal activities but it had no clash of interest with Hakeem Saeed. The murder of Hakeem Saeed was an outcome of a conspiracy hatched by Nawaz’s government. Hakeem Saeed was a heavy critic of the disorders being committed by the then govt. of Nawaz Sharif.

Nuclear Blasts- The events following the nuclear blasts had to be handled by an efficient PM. Nawaz Shariff turned up to be totally incapable of handling the situation.

In simple words ‘Just Gaining Sympathy On Kagil Issue Can’t Hide Other Failures Of Nawaz’.

  • Yeah! Nawaz Sharif is a real problem. If he was not in politics, many dwarfs could see the light of a political day!

  • @Hussain Farooqi bhai

You missed to mentioned Nawaz Sharif confrontation with Judiciary, how he divded Supreme court into two groups through conspiracies and attack on Supreme court etc.

  • Nawaz Shareef is heavily bribing ex-servicemen and tv anchors to make a mountain out of a mole in Kargil case to hide his other failures in his second regime. His second regime resulted into total failures. Particularly, after the nuclear blasts, the country had come into heavy economic crisis. Nawaz was not able to over those economic crisis.

  • Shariff Brothers are themselves the products of a military dictator Gen. Zia Ul Haq.The problem is that the armymen are corrupt whereas the politicians are criminals. That is the reason why the politicians are more unacceptable.

  • "make a mountain out of a mole in Kargil case to hide his other failures in his second regime. His second regime resulted into total failures. Particularly, after the nuclear blasts, the country had come into heavy economic crisis."

So, you are arguing, it is ok for a an adventurous General to get his troops slaughtered at will to set the stage to grab power but it is wrong to point out his designs.

And, it was a big mistake to go nuclear. I bet you will say it is ok to have nukes but it is unfortunate that Nawaz Sharif took the daring step.

"Shariff Brothers are themselves the products of a military dictator Gen. Zia Ul Haq."

BTW, if military dictators produce leaders, how come Musharraf did not make one. Did he fail on all acounts?

    • Politicians produced Military Dictators

    • Military Dictators produced Politicians.

    Both these arguments are bogus.

Was Mohammad Ali Jinnah a product of British Government?

A person should be acknowledged at the bases of his/her contributions without bothering about the time frame of birth.

  • Producing a good successor is something admirable. Sultan Nooruddin Zangi produced a heroic person like Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi. In the recent history, Tiku Abdur Rehman produced a dynamic political successor like Mahatir Mohammed. However, producing an evil successor is something deplorable. In our history of Pakistan, both the military and political leaders produced mostly evil successors.

Nawaz Shariff’s first regime was good which was toppled by the infamous CIA agent Ghulam Ishaq Khan. In the second regime, Nawaz became an absolutely useless person. The thread is about the big failures of Nawaz Shariff in his second regime. His second regime was a total failure.

  • Nuclear Blast was intiative of Pak Army, Nawaz Sharif was assigned to handle international pressure politically and diplomatically and as usual he completely failed due to lack of capability in this area.

    @Hussain Farooqui bhai

What was good in his first regime except privatization that also he did for his own family members and cronies.

  • BT Bhai,

In his first regime, he was able to attract foreign settled Pakistani investors into Pakistan. Moreover, he was able to restore the confidence of the Pakistani businessmen in trade and industry. His first regime was not bad. Unfortunately, he was stabbed by the CIA backed agent Ghulam Ishaq Khan.

In his second regime, he turned up to be very disappointing. Not only in Kargil issue, but almost in all the serious issues he badly failed to satisfy the nation. The post nuclear blast period badly crippled our economy. Nawaz was not capable of overcoming the critical situation rose up after the nuclear blasts.
