Takfiris kill scores in Quetta

  • When Pakistan government will lock-up leaders of these Takfiris?

These Takfiris and there leaders are empty headed coward.

If they had brains ,they would have used brains and debated instead of guns and explosives.

QUETTA: At least 63 people were killed and almost 200 wounded Saturday when a large explosion shook Quetta, the capital of restive Balochistan province, police officials said.

The explosion occurred near a market at the busy Kirani road area of the city, located close to Hazara Town, where a large population of the ethnic Hazaras community resides.

“At least 63 people have been killed by the blast. The dead include women and children,” Mir Zubair Mehmood, police chief of Quetta city, told reporters. “The explosion completely destroyed a two-storey building.”

Earlier Wazir Khan Nasir, a senior police officer, had said that over 200 people had been injured in the attack.

“It was a sectarian attack, the Shia community was the target,” said Wazir Khan Nasir.

A spokesman for the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi claimed responsibility for Saturday’s bloodshed, news agency Reuters reported.

“We fear more casualties. We have announced an emergency in hospitals,” said provincial home secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani.

Durrani said the bomb was planted near the pillar of a building in the market.

  • Takfiris supported by Iran are responsible. No doubt. Also the same takfiris joined with US occupiers and killed millions in Iraq and Syria and Afghanistan.

  • A Takfiri (from Arabic: تكفيري‎ takfīrī) is a Muslim who accuses another Muslim of apostasy.[1] The accusation itself is called takfir, derived from the word kafir (impiety) and is described as when "...one who is, or claims to be, a Muslim is declared impure."[2]

In principle the only group authorised to declare a Muslim a kafir is the ulema, and this only once all the prescribed legal precautions have been taken.[2] However a growing number of splinter Salafist groups, labeled by some scholars as Salafi-Takfiris,[3] have split from the orthodox method of establishing takfir through the processes of the law, and have reserved the right to declare apostasy themselves.

  • Despicable act of terror by the merchants of death. Total collapse of the state in Balochistan. The last attack necessitated the Governor rule, I wonder what this act of barbarism will lead us to do.

  • إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

We are reaping what we sow for years in our neighboring countries and indirectly in our society.

  • Where is Zardari takfiri? The responsibity squarely rests on rulers who are corrupt to the core. They are agents of West and are used to created mayhem like this. Have we forgotten so soon that America invaded Iraq when Saddam the takfiri was massacring shias and kurds. Go and check Obama's speech to UN few months back. He has asked for protection of 'shias and sufis". Why so much love for sufis and shias? May be another invasion is on cards.

  • @Dusky

"We are reaping what we sow for years in our neighboring countries and indirectly in our society for years."

We are letting these Takfiris go scott-free in Pakistan, as part of political parties, in TV shows and even in this blog. Responsibility goes on all of us to point those Pakistanis out who are openly fermenting and supporting these Takfiris.

  • Zardari the takfiri is roaming scot free. Need to put him on leash.

  • @sipahi: Agree, that's the monster people in power build in search of strategic depth and now we are facing the music.

Iqbal said - Juda Ho Deen Siasat Se To Reh Jati Hai Changaizi

Here we are facing "Changaiziat" as a consequence of mixing religion with politics.

A bomb in southwestern Pakistan has killed at least 72 and left more than 200 others injured, activists in Balochistan have reported.

The improvised explosive device, which was attached to a motorbike outside a vegetable market in Quetta, targeted Pakistan's minority Shia population.

A local shop owner in Quetta told Al Jazeera he was 50 metres from the blast site.

    Quetta attacks

Since January 10, more than 204 people have died in attacks in the southwestern city. The majority of the victims have been from the Shia minority.

"It was close to sunset when I heard the blast. The market is entirely closed now."

Activists say women and children were shopping for groceries in the Hazara Town enclave at the time of the attack.

"Rescuers and volunteers are hesitant to go near the blast site for fear of another explosion", Haider Changezi, a Shia activist in Pakistan, told Al Jazeera.

The fear of follow-up attacks targeting the Hazara Shia population comes a month after twin blasts killed at least 90 people on Almadar Road, another highly Hazara area of the provincial capital of Balochistan.

Hospital sources tell Al Jazeera that many of the wounded are in critical condition and that the death toll is likely to rise.

Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab, reporting from Islamabad, said the entire area of the attack in Hazara Town has been cordoned off by security officials.

"Nobody can get in, nobody can get out" of the enclave.

Hazara Town, one of two Hazara enclaves in Quetta, is considered to be less economically affluent than Almadar Road, "poor families suffered", Changezi told Al Jazeera.

Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, the banned pro-Sunni sectarian group, has claimed responsibility for Saturday's attack.

The group also claimed responsibility for the January 10 twin bombings that killed more than 90 and led to a 76-hour sit-in demanding protection from the targeted killings. It has been banned since 2001.

Last year was the deadliest so far for Pakistan's Shia community, which accounts for 20 percent of the population, with more thsn 400 people dead in targeted killings. Violence has been especially intense in Balochistan.

  • Source: Al Jazeera and agencies

This Al Jazeera is located in takfiri Gulf countries in forefront of so called war on terror. That Al Jazeera has zero credibility and repeats His Masters voice.

  • A very sad incident indeed!

I thought that the attack was on the Shia community, so how was that backed by Iran? I didn't get that.

  • Iran is promoting sectarianism and that boomerangs.

  • @AR

Do you support any Takfiris irrespective of which sect they may belong?

  • Whenever there is a cowardly act of terrorism, like the one in Quetta toay, a question come to my mind that 'isn't it our religion which encourages killing?'

Some friends may become angry that why such a question come to my mind yet I cannot help it.

  • Something wrong with the mind itself when such evil thoughts take root. Why such a question does not come to mind when the West has been killing millions since last 200 years? This killing by whoever did it, pales into insignificance when you know that the West killed 500,000,000.

  • Rahman jee

The history tells us that the number of Muslims killed by Muslims is far more than the number of Muslims killed by Non-Muslims.

    Is it wrong?

  • Wrong. Muslims never kill Muslims except traitors that are technically not Muslims due to their actions that are contrary to teachings of Islam. Is Karzai Muslim? There are certain actions which can take even myself out of pale of Islam and I wouldn't mind if someone kills me. But there should be valid reason to kill thru a court of Divine law and not by whims and vigilante justice. May Allah guide us all to remain Muslims-Ameen

  • @adnak

Takfiris are behind all these killings. Only Takfiri cowards use killing as a method of resolving their difference of opinion.

Takfiri banned party Lashkar-e-Jhangvi has claimed responsibility for killing innocent in Quetta.

  • Islam has always progressed—mostly because it was originally spread by the right kind of people—people who were trained by the Prophet Alaihis Salaam and who literally established justice on the globe when the world was oppressed. The Islam spread like a breeze in the hellish world. To say that the companions were angry at each other and fought among themselves, and somehow some injustice was done, is nonsense. The infighting among the Companions is a self-concocted story told to malign the blessed companions of the noble Prophet Alaihis Salam. If there had been infighting and internal conflicts and mass killings, Islam would have died right then and there. It would not have spread and Prophet’s mission would have been a failure. Internal conflicts make nations week and vulnerable.
