Care Taker Prime-Minister?

  • It is great that both PPP and PML are not going to agree on Care-taker Prime-minister otherwise tanga parties like PTI and others will propagate it like MUK-MUKA. Because when PTI will be bolded like they will make propaganda that take-care was chosen by PPP and PML. However, it is better to avoid technocrat like Dr. Ishrat etc who are tools of foreign and establishment.

Dr. Engr. Muhammad Zafar Malik - Canada

  • Parlimani committe main konse parties hain? Shayed ye b pata ho aap ko ;)

  • I hope they will be unable to decide and finally Election Commission will decide and will kill all propaganda of Tanga parties. InshaAllah.

Rememebr, election commission members were also nominated by PPP and PMLN, so any care-taker PM selected by the EC would also be termed as MUK-MUKA.

Folks, Imran has a habit of defying all expectations, so don't put your hopes so high.

  • Every one appreciate CEC's credibility and there is unanimous consensus that Justice Fakhar is impartial and honest.

  • ^^

I think you have got no idea how quick IK can change his statement

  • You are right. IK has no stability. He is like a kid who insist that he is the only good while his past says different. Self-praise never does good.

  • 60 days to organise an election is too long. May be in the next tenure, political parties can strengthen the EC even further so that elections can be held with out delay. 5 years in waiting and this cat and mouse game still has no end. Each day of the 60 seems like a year.

As far as the selection of interim PM, it it is best if it goes to Fakhru Bhaee, which it most probably will.

  • You are right. Blame game will be over in case Fakhru Bhaee takes the decision. Similarly, losers will not have much ground to make excuse.

  • What if parliamentary committee also failed to find right person for PM?

  • Per 224A of the constitution:

If PC fails for three days, the names will be sent to ECP.

ECP must decide within 2 days.

  • @sipahi

Thanks .... now oe more thing...

PAs in Sindh, Balochistan and Kybper are already dissolved or just about to..why there is no news about Punjab ? are they going to stay in office bit late?

  • Here you go. The Chief Minister has already sent an advice to disolve it.

  • Why no one has named Justice Bhaghwan Das as care taker pm?

He seemed most neutral and honest.

Constitutionally, a non Muslim can hold the position of PM.

  • There are many good people available but you can not include every one. There are limitaions.

  • Here is the correction:

" Ch. 3 and article 91 (3) of the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, "After the election of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker, the National Assembly shall, to the exclusion of any other business, proceed to elect without debate one of its Muslim members to be the Prime Minister." The PM has to be a Muslim so poor Bhagwan Das can't be even considered. Pakistan was made for Muslims and only they have the right to be the president and the PM.

    Constitution needs to be amended.

  • Why?

  • Mr. Javed Sheikh,

The constitution was indeed amended via the eighteenth amendment to EXCLUDE minorities from ever contesting for the PM slot; it was allowed before.

Apparently, 99 percent of Muslim MNAs aren't trustworthy that this provision had to be added in the constitution to stop the 'filthy' minorities from becoming the PM. :-)

  • Please be soft and kind.

It is normal world over. Practically, in many countries of the West (the so called champions of democracy and human rights) Muslims are not allowed to become President, Prime-Minister etc. Even Obama needed to clarify again and again that he is not Muslim.

Better to avoid this kind of discussion for now. Thanks.
